Don’t Fall for Bank Impersonation Scams!
Fraudsters know that the majority of people will act quickly if they receive a text, call, or email claiming there’s an issue with their bank account.
A bank impersonation scam is when someone reaches out pretending to work at a credit union or bank you use. Most of these scams are executed to either steal your credit or debit card information, steal your online banking credentials, get you to hand over money, or to get around your credit union or bank’s security protections to access your accounts directly.

Make Yourself at Home

Immerse yourself on your next trip. Here's how to get closer to the local culture.

Trying something new can be fun and exciting. If you want to take your journey to the next level and really immerse yourself in that country and culture, here are a few steps that you can take.

Eat up. Food is a connecting point for people, no matter where you go. Experience the local cuisine when you're traveling. Trying something new and exotic can be a great way to immerse yourself in the culture. It's also a great way to honor and show respect to the locals.

Speak out. Being fluent in the local language will provide you the best immersion experience possible. If you're not fluent, take a little time to learn some key phrases before you leave for your trip. The locals will probably appreciate your effort.

Take tours, and then don't. Sometimes being a tourist requires you to do touristy things, like take in a local landmark. But it could also mean making your own adventure by choosing a lesser known pub over an internationally renowned eatery. Doing things that are off the beaten path can help you find the authentic expression of the locals wherever you're traveling.

Consider renting local. . Bed and breakfasts, for instance, allow you to stay with a local resident instead of a chain hotel. When you do this, you have a contact point between you and the city you've just entered. This makes it easier to find great local eateries, get tips to avoid crowds, and locate all kinds of other perks you might not get from a regular hotel.
